A few things as I surfed online: Dell put Ubuntu (linux distro) to some systems announced on May 1st.
Ubuntu will be the popular software for non PC or OS MAC.

Do not fret, here will be the description of Ubuntu.

Since I have not have a chance to test Ubuntu yet, I will update my progress when available.

xubuntu- is for older computers (now we can keep our environment friendlier thanks to Ubuntu)

Description for Desktop edition- most popular and very easy to install. For further directions, please go to the ubuntu wiki and website. Okay getting back to the Desktop edition: it has Open Office Suite, email, calendar, Internet productivity, Firefox, music, videos, picture management. This ask for 2GB of space. Once again for more specific specs, go to the website.
The Server Edition- Ah, please do not attempt if you are lazy or you do not attempt to blog professionally. If you do blog or work with a professional services that requires a central server that does not break your budget, why not try out Ubuntu Server Edition before you try your Windows Longhorn Server beta (more on next time)or try both all at once to compare. I do presume you do have at least two or more computers to work on. They said that they have all LAMP Server=
Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP all in one. It is nice to have all in one package. Ubuntu Server Edition supports x86, AMD64 and UltraSPARC T1 architectures.
Wubi- is a beta and NOT yet supported by ubuntu at the moment. Its an independent project with their own site below. Also site linked here.
What Wubi is for direct Windows App installation. Instead of partioning a separate C drive or whatever drive it may be, with Wubi, you do not have to do this. They spare you with this step. Wubi requires at LEAST 3GB free of space. Vista is not supported at the moment along with 64-bit sorry. Wubu does not come with all Ubuntu's 20,000 applications. Wow!!! Thats plenty for me.

Oh oh, Microsoft wants a piece of Freedom Dough

In the Fortune magazine partnering with CNN, Microsoft ponders why everyone else including big cooperations are using Novell servers etc instead of Big-Micro-soft. Now they would like to launch a lawsuit against whom? The GNU? IBM? Wal-Mart(the users) or everyone else??? Wow?! Who knows? Oh, Microsoft, keep doing your job writing more Visually unBasic instead. I do not see why Microsoft needs to fret, their sales for Microsoft Office are up. The interface is among one of the vast improvement since last version. Its faster loading. Thats one good thing for you to look at.
