Should We Take Heed on FBI's Warning on Computers?

This was a question that some asked before the millennium problem, you know the switch to the year 2000?  Before 911, some US officials asked about Internet safety concerns are taken seriously by their own government?  After 911, its just not even a question, its a big concern with no end to endless bandages.  Or?  This issue of infection of computers are just too big for our heads to handle?  Emails can be send without your knowledge, someone can take your identity online, someone can impose as a US or any citizen of a country to recruit or spread extreme ideas etc.  Not until you are personally affected by an email or identity theft, you will not know how serious are the consequences.  I will not go into the details of all the damages of the viruses, Trojans, hacks and botnets...the list probably grows as I type this now. There are endless advices to how to keep your computer safe.  My best advice, trust your instincts when your computer display signs of woes.  Head to your tech, run your anti-virus program, clean your hard drive, and or ask someone you trust for help as soon as possible before any infections or grief to your life can be done due to a computer.  Best of luck!  Reference article:
